China offers a broad supplier base for custom kraft paper bags, from automated manufacturers serving international retail chains to flexible packaging producers supporting smaller brands. However, choosing a long-term manufacturing partner requires more than comparing prices, production photographs, or certificate logos.

Professional buyers should evaluate five areas before placing an order: factory identity, material specifications, product-development capability, quality-control procedures, and delivery reliability. A supplier that performs well across these areas can help reduce rejected shipments, inconsistent branding, and unexpected replenishment costs.

This guide profiles ten China-based packaging suppliers worth evaluating for kraft paper bags and coordinated paper packaging projects. Maituohong Packaging appears first as a representative option for brands seeking customization support and integrated packaging development. The shortlist distinguishes published supplier information from details that still require verification. Where a founding date, bag-specific capacity, minimum order quantity, or export-market breakdown is unavailable, that limitation is stated rather than replaced with an estimate.

Kraft And White Paper Bag Comparison

Why Source Kraft Paper Bags from China?

A Diverse Manufacturing and Packaging Supply Base

The suppliers reviewed here illustrate several sourcing locations across China:

- Dongguan and Shenzhen host companies offering printed paper bags, rigid boxes, retail displays, and coordinated packaging.

- Longgang and Yiwu in Zhejiang provide options for food-service packaging, gift packaging, and customized retail products.

- Quanzhou and Xiamen in Fujian include manufacturers focused on automated paper-bag production.

- Qingdao offers additional custom paper-packaging sourcing options in northern China.

For procurement teams, the advantage is not simply a large number of factories. It is access to different manufacturing models. A standardized kraft shopping bag produced on an automated line requires a different supplier profile from a short-run gift bag with rope handles, foil decoration, and a matching rigid box.

Choosing the appropriate manufacturing model is often more important than choosing the largest company.

What Recent Market Research Shows—and Does Not Show

A China packaging-paper market outlook published by Grand View Research in February 2025 reported revenue of USD 30,185.2 million for 2024 and projected USD 60,817.1 million by 2030. These figures describe the broader packaging-paper market, not finished kraft shopping bags alone. They provide useful background on the scale of the paper-packaging sector, but they should not be presented as kraft paper bag sales or export figures.

The China Paper Association also maintains an annual-report directory for industry research. Buyers should check the reporting period and product category before using association figures in purchasing forecasts. Paper and paperboard production, packaging-paper revenue, and finished paper-bag exports are different measures.

A growing market does not establish an individual factory's reliability. Supplier selection still depends on evidence tied to the actual production site and product specification.

Selection Criteria: How This Supplier Shortlist Was Built

This is a research-based shortlist, not a certification of factory performance. Company websites and published profiles were reviewed for product relevance, customization services, manufacturing information, and transparency.

The screening framework focuses on six practical criteria.

Selection criterion What buyers should examine Why it matters
Product relevance Evidence of paper bags, kraft bags, or closely related paper packaging Prevents selecting a box supplier without suitable bag-making capability
Factory identity Legal company name, business license, production address, and subcontracting arrangements Establishes who manufactures and who accepts contractual responsibility
Development capability Structural design, artwork support, prototypes, and material recommendations Helps resolve functional problems before production
Quality management Incoming-material checks, in-process inspection, finished-product testing, and shipment inspection Reduces variation between approved samples and delivered goods
Capacity and scheduling Bag-specific output, available production slots, maintenance plans, and peak-season workload Distinguishes theoretical output from capacity available for an order
Compliance evidence Current certificates, covered sites, relevant product scopes, and applicable test reports Prevents reliance on expired, unrelated, or misleading documentation

The central purchasing principle is traceability: buyers should be able to connect the quotation, approved sample, paper specification, manufacturing site, inspection report, and shipment to the same agreed product.

Supplier-reported certifications and production figures below have not been independently audited for this article.

Top 10 Kraft Paper Bags Manufacturers and Packaging Suppliers in China

1. Maituohong Packaging

Website: www.mthpackagingbox.com

Established: Exact incorporation year not confirmed on the reviewed About page. The company information supplied for this article states more than 18 years of packaging experience.

Market focus: Custom packaging for apparel, cosmetics, jewelry, gifts, food, and other consumer-product sectors. A geographic export-market breakdown was not identified on the reviewed page.

Maituohong Packaging offers paper shopping bags alongside rigid boxes, folding cartons, corrugated boxes, labels, and inserts. This makes it a relevant candidate for brands sourcing coordinated packaging rather than a single standalone bag. Its website describes structural design, visual development, sampling, production, and delivery support.

Its published workflow includes quotation approval, custom sampling, sample confirmation, mass production, final inspection, and protective packing. The company also describes incoming, in-process, final, and outgoing quality checks—commonly abbreviated as IQC, IPQC, FQC, and OQC.

For small and medium-sized brands, the potential value lies in combining OEM customization with practical development support. Buyers can evaluate the company's stated cost-control approach through alternative material quotations and assess communication efficiency during sampling. Neither lower pricing nor faster responses should be assumed without project-specific evidence.

OEM/ODM scope includes customized paper packaging structures, printing, presentation, inserts, and coordinated bag-and-box projects. The website references Heidelberg six-color printing equipment and claims FSC, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 certification; current certificates and covered manufacturing sites should be checked before ordering.

Buyer checkpoint: Request a kraft-bag-specific quotation, production route, MOQ, handle construction, load-test proposal, and current certificate copies. General packaging experience does not replace verification of the exact bag required.

Kraft Vs White Paper Bags Comparison

2. Xianda Printing Co., Ltd.

Website: www.xiandagiftbox.com

Established: The website states 2006 in several places but also contains a conflicting reference to 2014. Buyers should verify the contracting entity's incorporation date.

Market focus: Gift, cosmetics, jewelry, food, and other customized consumer packaging. Specific leading export destinations were not established from the reviewed homepage.

Xianda lists paper bags within a broader portfolio of flower boxes, jewelry boxes, advent-calendar boxes, cosmetics packaging, and gift boxes. Its website describes design and sampling departments and quotes a sample-development period of three to five days.

The company publishes a factory-area figure of 15,000 square meters and more than ten production lines. These are general facility claims, not verified kraft paper bag capacity.

OEM/ODM scope includes packaging layouts, customized printing, paper bags, and coordinated gift-box structures. It is worth evaluating for brands that want shopping bags and presentation packaging from one supplier.

Buyer checkpoint: Resolve the website's conflicting company-history information. Confirm the legal entity, production address, and whether the proposed bag is made in-house.

3. Shenzhen XingKun Packing Products Co., Ltd.

Website: www.xkdisplay.com

Established: The website's FAQ states that the business has operated in printing and packaging since 2004.

Market focus: Retail, e-commerce, entertainment, and education. The company reports serving brands and distributors in more than 30 countries and regions.

XingKun offers paper bags, packaging boxes, display stands, cards, printed books, labels, and related printed products. Its broad range makes it a candidate for coordinated retail campaigns involving bags, product packaging, and point-of-sale materials.

The company advertises flexible OEM/ODM arrangements, low minimum order quantities, three-to-five-day prototyping, and seven-to-fifteen-day production turnaround. These are supplier-published timelines and should be reconfirmed against the actual bag structure, quantity, finishing, and production schedule.

A particularly useful disclosure concerns sampling. XingKun explains that some samples are digitally printed and hand-finished rather than produced through the bulk manufacturing process. That distinction should guide buyers' approval procedures.

Buyer checkpoint: Ask for a production-equivalent sample when print color, folds, glue application, or handle assembly are commercially important.

4. BonitoPack / Bonito Packaging

Website: www.bonitopack.com

Established: Not confirmed from the reviewed website.

Market focus: Custom packaging for apparel, cosmetics, food, electronics, e-commerce, and other consumer products. Leading geographic markets were not specified.

BonitoPack emphasizes customized cardboard boxes, rigid packaging, and mailer boxes. Its website promotes low-order minimums and tailored packaging structures for new launches and growing businesses.

It belongs on this sourcing list with an important qualification: the reviewed website provides stronger evidence for boxes than for dedicated kraft paper bag manufacturing. Buyers should therefore treat it as a conditional candidate for coordinated packaging projects, not as a verified high-volume kraft-bag specialist.

OEM/ODM scope publicly described includes customized packaging designs, branding, structures, and finishes. A kraft-bag program should proceed only after the supplier confirms relevant equipment, manufacturing arrangements, and suitable samples.

Buyer checkpoint: Verify the legal company name, China production address, bag-making capability, and whether bags would be subcontracted. Do not assume that similarly named businesses or different domains share the same factory.

5. Fujian Nanwang Environmental Technology Co., Ltd.

Website: nanwangpack.com

Established: 2010.

Market focus: Retail paper bags and food packaging. A verified geographic sales breakdown was not established from the reviewed homepage.

Nanwang is a scale-oriented option. Its website identifies stock code 301355 and reports more than 200,000 square meters of production and operating space. It also publishes annual figures exceeding 2.7 billion eco-friendly paper bags and 9.5 billion food-packaging units. These figures are supplier-reported and should not be interpreted as capacity immediately available to a new customer.

The company's disclosed equipment base and retail-bag focus make it relevant for buyers evaluating recurring, standardized purchasing programs.

OEM/ODM evaluation should focus on customized dimensions, printing, paper grades, handles, and repeat-order consistency. Buyers should confirm which requirements fit the proposed automated production line.

Buyer checkpoint: Request output and scheduling information for the exact bag format. Total company output does not reveal changeover requirements, reserved customer capacity, or available delivery slots.

6. Zhejiang Qianlin Packaging Technology Co., Ltd.

Website: www.qianlinpack.com

Established: 2007.

Market focus: Food-grade paper packaging and kraft handle bags. Its market page identifies North America and the Middle East as major markets.

Qianlin specializes in kraft paper handle bags and food-related paper packaging. Its published materials describe a workforce exceeding 200 employees and claim ISO 9001, BRC, BSCI, and FSC credentials. The precise current certificates or audit reports should be requested, rather than relying on logos.

Its website contains differing facility and output figures, including a monthly figure of 250 million units and an annual figure of nine billion paper bags. These disclosures require reconciliation before a buyer uses them for capacity planning.

OEM scope includes custom printing, dimensions, and materials. A handle-bag listing specifies a 30,000-piece MOQ, although that figure should not be generalized to every product or printing route.

Buyer checkpoint: Confirm the current factory size, actual bag-specific output, applicable MOQ, and food-contact documentation for the intended use.

7. Xiamen Huide Packing Co., Ltd. — HDPK

Website: hdpk.com

Established: 2014, according to the company profile published on its own website.

Market focus: Custom paper bags and high-volume business orders. The reviewed sources did not establish a geographic sales breakdown.

Huide markets custom-logo paper bags with a focus on automated production and larger purchasing programs. Its homepage publishes a monthly capacity claim of 50 million units and describes the use of FSC-certified kraft paper and recycled materials.

The company also describes research and development capability and expertise in machine-made bags. This suggests a useful evaluation direction for buyers seeking recurring, standardized bag formats, although the current equipment and product range still need confirmation.

OEM/ODM discussions should cover bag dimensions, artwork, paper sourcing, handle options, and machine-compatible construction.

Buyer checkpoint: Confirm that the company name on the quotation matches the business license and certification documents. Ask whether the published monthly figure refers exclusively to bags of the proposed type.

8. Yiwu Jialan Package Co., Ltd.

Website: www.jialanpackage.com

Established: 2014.

Market focus: Gift packaging and customized paper products. Its website describes global supply, but leading country markets were not verified.

Jialan's website reports a 6,000-square-meter factory and more than 120 workers. A published company profile identifies gift paper bags, advertising bags, paper boxes, wrapping paper, and notebooks among its products.

The company is relevant for buyers comparing coordinated gift and promotional packaging. Its published services include one-stop OEM/ODM support across several box categories, while its broader profile confirms paper-bag activity.

Kraft-paper suitability should be checked directly because experience with decorative gift bags does not automatically establish the correct material and construction for a reusable load-bearing carrier bag.

Buyer checkpoint: Confirm the paper grade, production method, handle reinforcement, and bulk finishing process—not just the design portfolio.

9. JML Packaging Limited

Website: jmlpkg.com

Established: 2012, according to its published company profile.

Market focus: Custom paper packaging for consumer goods, cosmetics, and other branded products. Leading geographic markets were not established from the reviewed sources.

JML offers kraft paper bags within a broader custom-packaging range. Its paper-bag page publishes a typical minimum order requirement of 500–1,000 pieces, with the qualification that dimensions, materials, thickness, and structure affect the MOQ.

That makes JML worth evaluating for smaller customized purchasing programs, provided the quoted specification is commercially workable.

OEM scope includes bag shapes, sizes, colors, printing, and related paper packaging. The website lists multiple certification and testing claims. Buyers should request the underlying documents and distinguish management-system certification from laboratory testing or customer-specific approval.

Buyer checkpoint: Ask for a dated quotation that identifies the exact MOQ, paper specification, setup charges, and documents applicable to the proposed bag.

10. Shenzhen Parfait Industry Co., Ltd.

Website: www.parfaitpackaging.com

Established: 2014 for Parfait; its website also refers to an affiliated printing and packaging factory founded in 2006.

Market focus: Customized packaging for global buyers. The reviewed sources did not provide a verified regional revenue breakdown.

Parfait offers kraft paper bags as well as customized boxes and other packaging. Its website identifies a Dongguan factory address and describes an affiliated manufacturing relationship. These distinctions matter when evaluating who produces the order and who holds the relevant certification.

OEM/ODM scope includes customized boxes and bags, with published support for structural design, production, and logistics.

Its kraft-bag page references FSC and ISO 9001 alongside other approval or testing claims. Buyers should verify the scope and holder of each document individually.

Buyer checkpoint: Separate the Shenzhen sales entity from the manufacturing entity. Confirm which company signs the contract and which site appears on the inspection and certification records.

This table is a starting point for qualification. It is not sufficient evidence to award a contract.

Technical Buying Guide: Specify Performance, Not Just Appearance

Paper Grade and Strength

A kraft paper bag specification should identify the paper grade and functional requirements, not merely state "brown kraft paper."

Useful specification fields include:

- Virgin, recycled, or blended fiber requirements.

- Natural brown or white paper.

- Grammage and agreed tolerance.

- Tensile strength and tensile energy absorption.

- Tear resistance.

- Required carrying load.

- Handle material and reinforcement.

- Printing and surface-finishing requirements.

Industry guidance from CEPI Eurokraft identifies tensile strength, tensile energy absorption, bursting strength, and tear strength as relevant properties. It explains that tensile energy absorption combines strength and elongation and can indicate how paper performs under dynamic stress. Consequently, heavier paper is not automatically the better-performing choice.

Material substitution is a practical sourcing risk: a visually similar paper can have different mechanical properties. Avoid this by locking the agreed paper specification into the purchase order and requiring approval before substitutions.

Test the Complete Bag

A paper test report does not prove that a finished bag will carry the intended product. Handles, glue joints, bottom folds, and converting quality also affect performance.

CEPI Eurokraft and EUROSAC guidance describes a high-quality carrier-bag objective of carrying at least 6 kg and being reusable up to five times. This is an industry guideline, not a universal legal minimum for every shopping bag. The same guidance identifies EN 13590 as a method for evaluating carrier-bag volume and carrying capacity through repeated lifting.

Buyers should specify a load and test method appropriate to the actual product. Test the completed printed bag, including its production handles and reinforcements.

Choose Relevant Compliance Evidence

Ordinary kraft shopping bags should not be marketed as "CE-certified" merely because they are exported to Europe. Official EU guidance states that CE marking applies only to products covered by legislation that specifically requires it; it must not be used where no such requirement exists.

RoHS relates to electrical and electronic equipment and is not a general environmental certification for ordinary paper bags. For food-contact applications, buyers should instead establish the chemical-safety and food-contact requirements applicable to the destination market and intended use.

FSC chain-of-custody certification concerns the control and tracking of forest-based materials through production and distribution. It does not establish carrying strength or food-contact suitability.

The practical rule is to request evidence that answers a specific purchasing question:

- Is the manufacturing site's management system certified?

- Is the required material claim supported?

- Is the finished bag suitable for its intended food-contact use?

- Has its carrying performance been tested?

- Does the evidence cover this factory and this product?

An Overlooked Procurement Trap: The Sample May Use a Different Process

A polished sample can conceal a production mismatch.

XingKun's published FAQ explicitly explains that some samples use digital printing and hand finishing, while production-equivalent samples may require a separate charge. This is a useful reminder that a prototype can demonstrate the design without fully representing bulk output.

The risk is not that handmade samples are inherently unsuitable. It is that buyers approve them without identifying which characteristics will change in mass production.

Use a three-stage approval process:

1. Structural prototype: Approve dimensions, product fit, handle position, and folding layout.

2. Production-equivalent sample: Approve paper, printing, adhesive, handles, and finishing using the intended manufacturing route.

3. Retained production reference: Keep signed samples and agreed test results for comparison with shipment inspection.

Ask the supplier to list all differences between the prototype and the planned production process. Where exact production equivalence is impractical, record the limitations explicitly.

Also address storage conditions. Industry guidance recommends keeping paper and finished bags dry and well ventilated to avoid deterioration of strength properties and potential mold growth in very wet conditions.

Buyer's Guide: From Factory Verification to Shipment Approval

1. Verify the Contracting and Manufacturing Entities

Request the business license, legal company name, manufacturing address, and beneficiary bank details. Ask whether printing, bag forming, handle installation, or finishing will be subcontracted.

If a sales company uses an affiliated factory, document both entities and their responsibilities. A clear arrangement is preferable to an unexplained mismatch.

2. Issue a Complete Request for Quotation

Include:

- Finished dimensions, including gusset.

- Intended product and carrying load.

- Paper specification.

- Handle type and reinforcement.

- Artwork, printing colors, and coverage.

- Finishing requirements.

- Quantity per design and per size.

- Packing method and carton requirements.

- Destination and delivery terms.

- Required certificates and tests.

Ask suppliers to separate tooling, sampling, production, packing, and freight charges. This makes competing quotations easier to compare.

3. Approve Inspection Criteria Before Production

Define measurable acceptance criteria for dimensions, print appearance, glue integrity, handle security, count accuracy, and carrying performance.

Specify defect categories and inspection procedures in writing. A general promise of "strict quality control" is less useful than an agreed inspection plan tied to the approved sample.

4. Compare Landed Cost and Shipment Risk

Evaluate more than the unit price. Include setup charges, inspection, freight, insurance, import costs, and receiving requirements.

Ask for carton dimensions and quantities before confirming logistics. Require a packing proposal that addresses compression, moisture exposure, and handle deformation. Finalize shipment inspection and document requirements before releasing the balance payment.

Euro Tote Vs Kraft Premium Comparison

Conclusion: Select the Manufacturer That Matches Your Purchasing Program

The right kraft paper bag supplier depends on the order.

Large, standardized retail programs require evidence of automated capacity and repeat-order scheduling. Smaller branded projects need workable minimums, responsive development, and control over customized details. Coordinated bag-and-box projects require both structural compatibility and consistent visual execution.

Maituohong Packaging is a relevant first-stage candidate for buyers seeking paper shopping bags alongside rigid boxes and other customized packaging. Its published development workflow and quality-control stages provide a useful basis for a detailed qualification discussion.

To begin a project, send Maituohong Packaging your bag dimensions, target carrying load, paper preference, artwork, quantity, destination, and required delivery date. Request an itemized quotation, a production-equivalent sample plan, and current documentation covering the proposed manufacturing site.

Award the order only when the specification, sample, certification evidence, inspection plan, and delivery commitment align.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How Can I Check Whether a Supplier's ISO Certificate Is Expired or Suspended?

Search the company name or certificate number in IAF CertSearch. Check the status, standard, scope, issuing certification body, and covered company details. The platform provides information on active, suspended, withdrawn, or expired certificates.

Match the result to the actual manufacturing entity and site. If a certificate cannot be verified through the database, contact the issuing certification body directly rather than assuming that a PDF establishes current validity.

2. Does Buying FSC-Certified Paper Automatically Allow an FSC Logo on the Finished Bag?

Do not assume so. FSC explains that chain-of-custody certification verifies material control through the supply chain and enables eligible organizations to use FSC trademarks. Finished-product labeling depends on the applicable chain-of-custody and trademark requirements, not simply the presence of certified paper in the factory.

Check the supplier in FSC's public database and request confirmation of the proposed product claim and labeling arrangement.

3. Why Can Two Bags with the Same Grammage Carry Different Loads?

Grammage does not capture all relevant performance properties. Tensile strength, elongation, tensile energy absorption, tear resistance, glue, converting quality, and handle construction all influence durability.

Compare complete-bag test results under the same agreed conditions, rather than assuming equal paper weight means equal carrying capacity.

4. How Can We Prevent a Supplier from Changing Materials After Sample Approval?

Put the material specification into the purchase order and require written approval for substitutions. Retain approved samples and ask for production-batch material records.

Define how conformity will be checked: paper properties, finished-bag performance, appearance, and inspection results. A named paper grade plus measurable performance criteria provides a stronger purchasing basis than a generic "premium kraft" description. The relevant strength properties are identified in industry guidance.

5. What Should We Do If Kraft Bags Pass Inspection but Fail After Overseas Storage?

First check whether inspection conditions represented the intended storage and use environment. Review packaging, warehouse conditions, moisture exposure, handles, glue joints, and retained production samples.

Industry guidance specifically warns that improper wet storage can affect paper strength and encourage mold. Require suppliers and logistics partners to address dry storage and protective packing, and agree on an investigation procedure before the first shipment.
